PRODUCT INFORMATION
A WWII sea plane clock or thermometer casing with strong art deco themes, including metropolis and flight motifs. This design was originally made in the 1940s in Syroco wood as a thermometer case, and it was later produced in pewter with a small 1" quartz clock insert. This casing is made in cast pewter. New old factory stock from 2000. The body does not come with a thermometer or clock movement, but the 1"-diameter clock movement inserts are readily available in quartz. This case can also be used with a photo, a mirror, or a clock. Measures 3.75" (9.5 cm) high and 3.89" (10 cm) wide. The hole for the clock is 1.1" (2.8 cm).
